World Trivia Night

The 24th annual World Trivia Night is officially in the books – a year filled with many firsts and amazing contributions from volunteers, community members and contestants.

The event raised $55,000 in net proceeds for children and youth supported by The Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa, funds that will provide academic opportunities and amazing new life experiences. This total is the most raised since 2011! A big thank you goes out to all those who participated and raised funds!

This year’s World Trivia Night champions were the Sticky Buns, who have now finished in first place for two consecutive years. In the 24 year history of the event, only one other team has accomplished this remarkable feat! What made their victory all the more amazing was the fact that the Sticky Buns chose to donate their first place prize – all $5,000 of it– back to the Foundation. Thank you Sticky Buns for your immense generosity!

This year also saw an increase in the number of champion teams pledging to raise a minimum of $1,000 towards the cause. Overall, World Trivia Night proved to be a fun and successful event   Congratulations to all the teams – for the complete ranking of teams and final scores, click here.
